Susie MacMillan and Meta Adler are named as the 2019 Event Chair for Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia.

“I became involved with the Alzheimer’s Association in 2017, when I was asked to be a Dancing Star” added Meta Adler, co-chair, 2019 Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia. “My grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s five years earlier, so I thought it was an excellent opportunity to honor him. I then stepped in as co-chair for the event in 2018 with Susie. We had so much fun working together last year; we decided to do it again. We are looking forward to another record breaking fundraising year”.

Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia is an event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. 12 dancers in the Coastal Georgia area business leaders and philanthropists raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition. Supporters can vote online for their favorite dancer prior to the event.

We are so grateful to have Susie and Meta co-chairing the event this year,” said Kelly Hendricks, Development Director for the Alzheimer’s Association. “As former dancing stars and top fundraisers their experience and leadership is invaluable in the planning and success of the 2019 event.”

Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia.  In 2018, Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia raised more than $367,000. People’s choice award winners, Star John Seckinger and Pro Rachael Moore raised nearly $95,000.
