Christopher Fraser, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company’s South Carolina region, announced the strategic hiring of highly regarded commercial real estate industry veteran Michael Bone in Savannah, GA.

Effective immediately, Bone becomes a Vice-President in the firm’s new Savannah office and will focus on industrial, office and investment brokerage services in the greater Savannah area. He will report directly to Fraser, who will co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the Savannah office due to its proximity to Charleston.

Bone brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young, most recently as Principal and Senior Vice-President of SVN, where he served clients based in Savannah and South Carolina.

“We are thrilled to land Michael, who is a proven industry expert and has a solid reputation for great client service,” comments Fraser. “Michael will play a leading role as we continue to broaden the Avison Young footprint throughout the Georgia and South Carolina low country. We’re fortunate to have this high-level, experienced leader bring his skill set to Avison Young and our clients.”

Adds Alan Bolduc, a Senior Vice-President of industrial and investment services in Avison Young’s Charleston office: “I have known Michael for some time and have always been impressed with his business practices and plans for growth. His emphasis on ensuring client satisfaction by providing best-in-class solutions fits perfectly with Avison Young’s strategy of achieving an alignment of goals and interests with our clients. I am thrilled that Michael has decided to join Avison Young and help continue our aggressive and strategic growth in Georgia and South Carolina.”

Bone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major in real estate from the University of Georgia. He returned to his hometown of Savannah in 2005 and has had numerous community affiliations, and earned several awards, since then.

“I am excited to be a part of the Avison Young team,” says Bone. “The firm’s Principal-led ownership structure ensures the protection of our clients’ best interests and brings a team-based approach to every transaction. I look forward to leveraging more than 15 years of industry experience and market knowledge with the company’s cutting-edge resources. This is a fantastic opportunity, and I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues across the company.”
