River Street Sweets • Savannah’s Candy Kitchen, a famed Southern candy franchise, welcomes longtime Greenville resident, Lisa Warriner, to the candy family as the company gets set to open its next franchise in the bustling area of downtown Greenville. River Street Sweets • Savannah’s Candy Kitchen is expected to begin serving up sweets for Greenville guests on February 8, 2019 and will have a ribbon cutting ceremony with giveaways and free samples beginning at 3:30 pm.

“We’ve seen time and again that our Southern confections, family-friendly atmosphere and old-fashioned approach to candy making appeals to people nationwide,” said Jennifer Strickland, co-founder and co-CEO. “We’re confident the people of Greenville will fall in love with our historic brand and we’re excited that Lisa and her family are the ones to bring it to the area.”

As a Greenville native, Lisa is thrilled to “bring this franchise to our beloved downtown area! I fell in love with this special candy store concept after visiting Savannah and I couldn’t wait to bring it to Main Street in Greenville! The handmade candy making and family recipes – it’s what the River Street Sweets • Savannah’s Candy Kitchen brand is all about and I am excited to share it with our community.”

River Street Sweets • Savannah’s Candy Kitchen will be located at 12 S Main Street and will feature the same Southern confections that guests have come to know and love since the flagship store opened in 1973 in Savannah: World Famous Pralines®, handmade chocolate Loggerheads and homemade ice cream and gelato, just to name a few. Friends, associates, fellow members of the Chamber and the Strickland family will be on hand to help Lisa officially welcome River Street Sweets Savannah’s Candy Kitchen to the Greenville community. A portion of the proceeds from all Chocolate Loggerhead® sales will be donated to the Caretta Research Project, a charity partner of River Street Sweets • Savannah’s Candy Kitchen.
