Eighth graders at West Chatham Middle School in Pooler now have some of the latest laptop tech at their fingertips. St. Joseph’s/Candler donated twelve HP Google Chromebooks to the school for use in their social studies program. Ben Anderson III, Administrator for the new St. Joseph’s/Candler Pooler Campus, and Nolan Hennessee, SJ/C Vice President of Information Services, delivered the Chromebooks to Principal Julian Childers and Social Studies teacher Jacquelin Harden earlier this month.

“Youth's access to modern technology is essential for learning in today’s age,” Anderson said. “It is an honor to be a part of such an important initiative where we can deliver these services to the community.”

St. Joseph’s/Candler’s community outreach programs and donations are part of the health system’s holistic approach to healing, which includes factors such as housing, employment, and education. Savannah’s public and private schools have been and will continue to be a focus of the health system’s outreach efforts.
