The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill recently named Hollie Barnidge, vice president of Lesley Francis Public Relations, to its board of directors.

Barnidge, who has been a member of the club for two years, earned a Bachelor’s of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. She joined LFPR as social media manager and copy writer in 2015. Barnidge has worked at a number of publications, including daily newspapers and lifestyle magazines, and served as a regional editor for Morris Multimedia Inc. for seven years. Through her time spent as Main Street Program manager, Hollie amassed experience in small business and economic development, marketing, planning and preservation, design, and volunteer management. She previously served on the Hinesville Veterans Memorial Walk Board of Directors and enjoys volunteering with several area nonprofits.

As a member of the Exchange Club’s board, Barnidge will participate in the club’s four primary directions of service – Community, Americanism, Youth and the Prevention of Child Abuse – through their many service activities and outreach programs. Some of these programs include a parents and kids fishing derby, student of the month recognitions, military memorial bricks, public safety officer recognition and YMCA support.

“I'm honored to serve as an officer on the Richmond Hill Exchange Club's board of directors. The club already does a lot of wonderful things for the community, including hosting our annual Kids' Fishing Derby and providing monthly scholarships for outstanding local students,” said Hollie. “Our fundraisers allow us to support our main philanthropy, which is child abuse prevention. Now that I'm part of the leadership, I look forward to more actively participating in those efforts and lending more of a hand when it comes to planning.”
