When a new Mary Kay Andrews novel hits the bookstore shelves, it’s officially the start of summer. The New York Times best-selling author’s newest book, Sunset Beach, is a page turner with mystery, a little romance, and a twist. Mary Kay Andrews kicked off her national tour with a book launch fundraiser at the DeSoto on Monday, May 6 from 5:30–7:30 PM to benefit Susan G. Komen Coastal Georgia. Event attendees raised over $2,800 to support the local nonprofit.

E. Shaver Bookseller was at the event selling copies of Sunset Beach as well as a selection of Mary Kay Andrews’ previous novels. Guests were able to meet the author and have their books signed at the reception, all while enjoying appetizers courtesy of the DeSoto, desserts from Wicked Cakes, a cash bar, live music by violinist Ellen Roe Hooper, and sensational raffle and door prizes!
