Propeller Club Celebrates S.S. Savannah’s Historic Voyage

It’s been 200 years since the S.S. Savannah set sail from its namesake harbor to attempt the world’s first trans-Atlantic voyage under steam. Chugging into the British port of Liverpool some 29 days later, the ship secured its place in history and put Savannah’s name on maritime maps across the globe.
