Kelsee Van Nus is a family, mommy, and travel blogger, based out of Atlanta, GA. She collaborates with brands such as JcPenny’s, CVS Pharmacy, Macy’s, and HelloFresh. She and her family traveled to Savannah for a 4th of July getaway and for collaboration with The DeSoto.

During their stay she provided coverage through her social media channels and blog. Kelsee Van Nus (@vannusdarlings) has over 50,000 Instagram followers, and her blogs are written based off what other mothers are curious about.

In her article all about her visit to Savannah, she shares her insight on a family friendly, and fun weekend! Where to eat, what to do, and the best ways to make the whole family happy. Van Nus writes, “We selected The King One Parlor Suite at The DeSoto for our stay. The views from both the bedroom and living room area were unbelievable! We could see the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, River Street and the large cargo ships cruising the river morning till night.”

As a family they showed off all the activities that Savannah has to offer. They took the kids to River Street, treated them to breakfast in bed, ventured to the Jepson Center, took a trip out to Tybee Island, and got a chance to play in The DeSoto’s rooftop pool. Over the summer, The DeSoto offers a Savannah scavenger hunt to its guests so they can get out and really soak in Savannah, and the Van Nus family was able to make a family adventure out of it.

One of their favorite parts of the trip was their dining experience at 1540 Room. Van Nus shares, “We had the best experience at the 1540 room located on the first floor of the DeSoto Hotel. After the children finished their meal the Chef pulled up two bar stools and invited them to watch the cooks at work in the kitchen. The kids were thrilled by the experience and we were thrilled to have a quiet meal a few feet away. Thank you Chef for such a wonderful experience!”
