The Fiduciary Group Hires Michael R. McLeod, CFP as Senior Wealth Manager & Director of Financial Planning

The Fiduciary Group, a 2019 Financial Times 300 list honoree and leading wealth management firm headquartered in Savannah, Ga., recently hired award-winning CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Michael R. McLeod as the company’s new Senior Wealth Manager and Director of Financial Planning.
 
In his new position, McLeod is responsible for expanding the firm’s financial planning services and fostering life-long, wealth management client relationships with coastal Georgia and South Carolina’s high net-worth individuals and families.

Before joining The Fiduciary Group, McLeod served as a Client Advisor and Vice President of SunTrust Private Wealth Management in Savannah, where he was responsible for developing and delivering all aspects of high net-worth wealth management, including investment management, financial planning, risk management, trust advisory, estate administration and banking and lending services. During his 13-year tenure with SunTrust, he earned the Top Client Advisor Award, President’s Team Award and Chairman’s Team Award.
 
Earlier in his career, McLeod worked in Atlanta as the Vice President of the SunTrust Private Wealth Management’s Legal Specialty Group, actively managing the wealth of top-earning clients, and as a team leader with the TorT and Environmental Practice Group at King & Spalding, LLP.
 
An active community leader, McLeod currently serves on the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees for Historic Savannah Foundation, on the Advisory Board of Espy Lumber Company and as the Grants Chair for the Metropolitan Savannah Rotary Club.
 
Originally from Savannah, McLeod is a Series 7 General Securities and Series 66 Combined State Securities registered representative. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. and completed the University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business Executive Program for Financial Planning. McLeod currently resides on Skidaway Island, Ga.
