Wine Crush Wednesday Event to Benefit the Two Hundred Club

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, July 10th, 2019

The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire will be the beneficiary of July’s “Wine Crush Wednesday” event, which is hosted each month by iHeart Radio in conjunction with The Alida Hotel. From 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month, community members are invited to the hotel at 412 Williamson St. to enjoy a happy hour to benefit one selected charity.

Wine Crush Wednesday attendees will show their support for fallen first responders’ families while enjoying live music, raffles and plenty of wine selections to “crush” over. There is no entry fee for the event.

Every month from July through September, the Alida Hotel and iHeart Radio are joining forces to hold Wine Crush Wednesdays to draw support for local charities in the Savannah community. During these monthly events, attendees can enjoy the beautiful views of the historic and ever-evolving River Street neighborhood, all the while celebrating and supporting the dedicated people who work daily to ensure Savannah is the best it can be.

“We are very honored to be the featured charity at the July’s Wine Crush Wednesday,” said Two Hundred Club President Mark Dana. “It’s always a privilege to come together with the people of our community to support those that sacrifice everything to keep us safe.”

He encourages club members, supporters and those interested in learning more to come out and enjoy an evening of fun, friends and great wine to support The Two Hundred Club in their mission to give back to those who gave it all.

The club is a nonprofit, independent organization that relies on its members’ annual dues and donations as well as fundraising events, like the Savannah Mile event in May and the “Red, White & Blue” BBQ, to provide donations to families of the fallen and injured first responders.
