The Coastal Georgia CARENET has selected Sabine Bazemore of Savannah Comfort Keepers as the 2019 Coastal Georgia Para-Professional Caregiver of the Year. It’s the second consecutive year that a caregiver from the Savannah Comfort Keepers has been chosen for this prestigious award.

CARENET, a project of the Rosalyn Carter Institute for Caregiving, is an organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating those who dedicate themselves to caring for others. The Caregiver of the Year Award is designed to recognize the selfless acts, compassion, empathy, effort and extraordinary commitment of caregivers to those who need their care.

Ms. Bazemore has been with the Savannah office of Comfort Keepers for nearly two years and exemplifies all of the characteristics of an exemplary caregiver. She is beloved by every one of the clients she serves. She goes out of her way to treat each person with unique compassion and to bring a spark of joy into their everyday lives.

In October, the State of Georgia 2019 Caregiver of the Year will be selected from the individuals who were honored in each of the 12 regional CARENETS. The recipient will be honored in Atlanta at a luncheon attended by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter as well as many state and local dignitaries.
