Thursday, October 31st, 2019

Corsica Technologies announces the acquisition of Fort Wayne, Indiana based Symplexity, a highly regarded and rapidly growing managed security, cloud, networking and technology consulting provider. Terms of the transaction between the two companies were not disclosed.

Corsica Technologies has been growing through acquisition, completing the acquisition of EDTS earlier this year.  Dale Walls, the CEO, says “our approach has been to identify and acquire other leading MSPs throughout the country.  We want to find companies that offer MSP services, but also offer other strategic offerings to add to our portfolio.”  Walls continues, “the acquisition of EDTS gave us MSP services and a fully developed Security Operations Center (SOC).  The acquisition of Symplexity offers those services and adds Digital Transformation to our service catalog.”

Brian Harmison, the CEO of Symplexity, will lead the Digital Transformation practice for the combined companies.  Harmison says, “We recently added Digital Transformation, which includes DevOps, application development, and automation to meet the growing demand of our clients. This acquisition will allow me to focus on this strategic practice area and provides us with investment capital to really accelerate our success helping our clients use technology to transform their business.”

Corsica’s acquisition strategy adds new services and capabilities while also maintaining a hyper focus on the local markets.  Walls says, “We want to continue to serve our clients with a team that is local.  While we expect to see efficiency gains through the combined entities, we are committed to maintaining our significant presence in each market as we want our team to live and work in the same communities as our clients.”  Corsica leadership notes that despite their impressive approach to acquisition this year, they are not slowing down.  Walls concludes, “we are still building an all-star team of managed services talent and will continue to explore strategic investments that align to our approach.”
