Boston-born and now Brooklyn-based band Lake Street Dive returns to Savannah, Ga. for a concert on April 28, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, 32 Abercorn St., presented by Savannah Music Festival (SMF) and Zero Mile/AEG. As part of their Lounge Around Sounds Tour, the performance will feature an easygoing, semi-acoustic revue of the beloved band’s 16-year catalog of songs highlighting deep cuts, works in progress and fan favorites, all sung around a grand piano.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. ET online at savannahmusicfestival.org or savannahboxoffice.com, by phone at 912.525.5050, and at the Savannah Box Office at 216 E. Broughton Street in Savannah.

After forming in 2004 while all the members were studying at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Lake Street Dive built a following through a series of independent album releases, countless club tours and a few lucky breaks. In 2013, producer T Bone Burnett invited the band to join a star-studded lineup at a New York City concert where they practically stole the show—and wound up with a deal from Nonesuch Records.

In the years since, they’ve toured around the globe and have collaborated with a "who’s who" of top artists. The band's unmistakable sound is influenced by late '60s/early '70s R&B, AM pop and FM rock, while the lyrics are informed more by contemporary events. Lake Street Dive’s Savannah Music Festival debut took place in 2013, when they performed on their own bill and on a co-bill with Lee Fields & the Expressions.
