Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, December 18th, 2019

The Grand Lake Club at Southbridge is tapping into the holiday spirit of Savannah residents to help their two-legged and four-legged friends alike. This Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Red Cross bloodmobile will be on site, as well as One Love Animal Rescue for puppy adoptions at the Grand Lake Clubhouse, located at 815 Southbridge Blvd., Savannah.

“The holiday season is a great time to ask people to open their hearts to help those in need,” said Grand Lake at Southbridge General Manager Tara O’Sullivan. “This event is aimed at encouraging people to help all walks of life.”

In addition to the bloodmobile and puppy adoption, Woof Gang Bakery will be on site with free dog treats and Savannah music man Joe Jarka will be entertaining the crowds with live music.

“Woof Gang is committed to our local shelters and animal rescue groups because we firmly believe that every animal deserves a loving family,” said Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming of Savannah President Greg Lard. “It is our hope that every dog gets adopted out on Wednesday and that every new owner walks away with free treats to aid in that critical bonding process.”
