Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the following new hire in its Savannah office.

Anthony Mannering joined Thomas & Hutton’s Structural Department as a Project Manager in its Savannah office. Mannering brings over 23 years of experience in onshore and offshore structural design, and 11 years of experience as a lead/project engineer.

He received his Master of Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering from the University of Idaho and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Materials (steel) from Texas A&M University. A licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Louisiana and Georgia, Mannering is a former member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).  Currently, he is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Petroleum Institute (API), where he chairs Sub-Committee 8, Task Group 1, and is responsible for the latest revisions of API Specification 4F and API Recommended Practice 4G.

As a Project Manager in the Structural Department, Mannering will be responsible for a variety of structures, ranging from thrust blocks to the design of work platforms for heavy duty crane use.
