A group of concerned business and civic leaders are announcing the launch of Georgia Support The Vote, a nonpartisan volunteer coalition focused on promoting safe and fair elections in Georgia.

“It is projected that 5.6 million Georgians will vote in the General Election in November, which is a million more than will have ever voted in our state, and in fact, three million more than the number that voted in the June primary,” said Eric Tanenblatt – founding committee member. “We have the opportunity to engage business in new ways to make certain that Georgia meets the challenge to ensure everyone can vote effectively and with confidence. We want the headlines in November to feature the efficiency and confidence in Georgia’s election,” he added.

“Georgia is facing an unprecedented challenge to provide an effective election during the ongoing pandemic and anticipated historic voter turnout in our state. We believe Georgia businesses can uniquely help to meet this challenge, which is why we created this initiative for Georgians, by Georgians,” said Michelle Nunn, a founding committee member - Georgia Support the Vote.

Support The Vote is dedicated to providing businesses with a portal of Georgia-based curated resources and an easy to use set of tools and customized communication templates to keep their employees, suppliers and customers informed, encouraged and engaged to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

Companies, nonprofits and other civic organizations can register to participate by visitinggasupportthevote.org. The website will have a variety of ideas and tools that can be easily incorporated into existing communication efforts, including voter registration deadlines, links to find polling locations and more. In addition, Georgia Support The Vote is encouraging member companies to consider added flexibility for their employees in scheduling time off to vote, recognizing and rewarding employees who serve as poll workers, minimizing scheduled meetings on election day and much more. Businesses and organizations can join the coalition by pledging to support the vote and thereby join in supporting their employees, stakeholders, and customers with tools and ideas to vote.
