Savannah Philharmonic (SavPhil) today announced that it has moved its Phil the Squares with Music event originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10 to Saturday, October 24. “We had to make this change due to the inclement weather forecast for October 10,” Keitaro Harada, SavPhil’s Music and Artistic Director said. “We look forward to everyone enjoying our Phil the Squares with Music on Saturday, October 24 with the Elite Party Band and we will still have two performances in Chippewa Square. The first concert will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM and the second from 5:30-6:30PM.”

“We encourage folks to enjoy the concert live from the comfort of their own home,” Harada said. “We are livestreaming both of our concerts via Facebook live on our fan page.”

The Elite Party Band (EPB) is Savannah’s premiere event band and is composed of the finest musicians in the area. Fronted by vocalist Amanda Jeter, members of EPB will share a mix of jazz, R&B, pop, and possibly a few original songs. According to Harada, The Celli Artist Group regretted that they were unable to accommodate the date change. “We will still have an exciting performance and I’m pleased that EPB will be joining us,” Harada noted. “Amanda has been singing for as long as she can remember. She attended Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Musical Theater under the vocal instruction of David Bankston & Tim Koch. Rounding out the October 24 Phil the Squares with Music line-up are Bill Smith (Guitar), Marc Chesanow (Bass), and Vuk Pavlovic (Drums).”

Phil the Squares with Music is a popular new music event that is free and open to the public. Phil the Squares with Music made its debut on Labor Day. SavPhil is partnering with homeowners and businesses of the downtown area to provide free outdoor music for the Savannah community with Phil the Squares with Music. Perched on balconies and terraces overlooking Savannah’s squares, SavPhil Musicians will play a wide variety of musical selections.

“Wave hello to our musicians as you pass by or enjoy the full performance via Facebook live,” Harada said. SavPhil’s October 24 Phil the Squares with Music is sponsored by Staci Donegan Real Estate.
