Live Oak Public Libraries Names Director of Public Services

Live Oak Public Libraries announces Alissa Landram as Director of Public Services.

Landram will oversee the delivery of quality library services at 16 locations, in coordination with library managers and departmental directors. She will also be responsible for evaluating library policies and procedures to ensure a seamless experience for all library customers.

Landram joined Live Oak Public Libraries in 1999 as a Library Page/Assistant. In her nearly 24 year career with the library system, she has worked as a Children’s Librarian, Adult Services Manager, Senior Branch Manager, and Interim Director of Library Experiences.

Landram has worked at nine Live Oak Public Libraries locations across Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty Counties, taking on a gradual sequence of increasing responsibilities. She has been involved with a variety of activities including leading programs on music and storytelling, building community partnership opportunities, and advocating for public libraries as important community fixtures.

Landram holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in education and library media from Armstrong State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina.
