Savannah Speech and Hearing Center Receives Grant From International Paper Company

Savannah Speech and Hearing Center (SSHC) has been awarded a generous grant from the International Paper Company to help expand access to educationally essential therapy services including speech language pathology, pediatric occupational therapy and pediatric physical therapy.
With this support, SSHC plans to expand free screenings to identify needs earlier; provide more intensive, individualized therapy to address delays that hinder learning (e.g., language comprehension, fine motor skills for writing, auditory processing, balance and coordination); support carryover of skills into educational environments through collaboration with families and schools; reduce wait times and barriers to access for underserved and low-income children and enable improved communication, motor, and sensory processing skills empower students to engage more fully in school activities, boosting their confidence, participation, and long-term academic success.
