Bank of America Names Patrick O’Neil Market President for Savannah

Bank of America has announced that Patrick O’Neil has been named Savannah market president, serving as the company’s enterprise leader in Chatham, Effingham and Bryan counties. He will work across the region to help deliver a wide range of global financial services to individuals and businesses, as well as deepen relationships with existing customers.

O’Neil will also oversee Bank of America’s corporate social responsibility activities including philanthropic giving, community development lending and investing, employee volunteerism, environmental initiatives, diversity efforts, and arts and culture projects.

“Our customers will benefit from Patrick’s business experience and community relationships in Savannah,” said Bank of America Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan. “As market president, Patrick will continue to connect the needs of our customers, clients and communities with our local resources.”  

In addition to his responsibilities as market president, O’Neil serves as Business Banking senior client manager for the Savannah market. Business Banking provides financial advice and services to small- and mid-sized businesses. 

O’Neil joined Bank of America 11 years ago, beginning his banking career as a personal banker. Within the company, he has served in numerous leadership positions, including as a member of the Southeast Executive Council, serving on the Southeast Voice of the Client Committee, and participating as a member of the Savannah Leadership Team and the Foundation Grant Committee.

Active in the community, O’Neil served four years on the Savannah Junior Achievement board, including a term as chair of its finance committee. The Savannah Chamber of Commerce recognized him for fundraising leadership, and he served on the Small Business Development Corporation CAP Fund. He was recently elected to the executive committee of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and is a member of the Savannah Quarterback Club.

A lifelong resident of Savannah, O’Neil is a graduate of the Benedictine Military School, has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and earned an MBA with a focus on accounting from the University of Phoenix.
