The Cotton Sail Hotel and Top Deck, Savannah’s hottest boutique hotel and rooftop bar overlooking the Savannah River, marked their one year anniversary with a special event celebration. Savannah dignitaries, business leaders and members of the community came out to honor the birthday celebration, which featured live entertainment, refreshments and more, at the revitalized historic property located at 126 W. Bay Street in downtown Savannah.

“The Cotton Sail Hotel has experienced an exceptional year of success,” said Inan Isik, general manager at The Cotton Sail Hotel. “We could not be more delighted with the excitement and positive feedback we’ve received from the Savannah community and hotel guests over the last year. Our ongoing goal is to offer our guests an extraordinary experience every time they step foot in our hotel and we will strive for nothing less in the coming years as Savannah’s premier waterfront hotel property.”

When HOS Management first acquired the iconic Ryan Building, a former late-1800s cotton warehouse, it was in dire need of repairs. The second-generation hospitality and development company painstakingly preserved and revitalized the neglected building, threading as much of the original structure and historical accents into the new modern design. Today, the popular boutique hotel effortlessly blends traditional Savannah charm with understated nautical appeal and features a long list of upscale modern amenities for its guests.

In addition, the hotel is home to Top Deck, a nautical-themed rooftop restaurant and bar owned and operated by Oceanside Resorts. Top Deck has fast become Savannah’s go-to spot to unwind with craft cocktails and enjoy an upscale menu of international small plates, while taking in the spectacular views of Savannah’s scenic historic district and the iconic Talmadge Memorial Bridge rising over the beautiful Savannah River.

“In a city with no shortage of incredible places to eat and share drinks with friends, we’re blown away by our remarkable first year in business,” said Chantal Gloor, vice president of project management at Oceanside Resorts.  “We wanted to bring something new to Savannah and not only offer a memorable customer experience with incredible ambiance, but to continually redefine our menu offerings to highlight seasonal ingredients and local favorites. We’re excited for another year as Savannah’s favorite rooftop bar and restaurant.”

In April 2015, HOS Management was honored by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for “Excellence in Rehabilitation” for The Cotton Sail Hotel, as well as awarded the IAHA Independent Hotel of the Year by the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) for The Cotton Sail Hotel’s high standard of excellence in quality, service and guest satisfaction. HOS was also a 2015 Historic Savannah Foundation Preservation Award recipient for excellence in historic preservation for The Cotton Sail Hotel.
