    Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings announced that Hilton Head, South Carolina will be the second location for their new LATITUDE MARGARITAVILLE active adult residential communities. The new 55-and-better community, built on the "no worries" tropical vibe of Margaritaville, will sit on 2,739 acres and include a 72-acre site for a 290,000-square foot Margaritaville-inspired festive retail center.

    The Georgia Department of Labor announced that Metro Savannah’s unemployment rate in April was 4.3 percent, down two-tenths of a percentage point from 4.5 percent in March. In April 2016, the rate was 4.8 percent.

  • Georgia's Ports Set New Industry Standard

    The Georgia Ports Authority handled 333,006 twenty-foot equivalent container units in April, an increase of 11.7 percent, or 34,966 TEUs, compared to the same month a year ago. Across all ports, GPA's total tonnage increased by 13 percent, or 334,950 tons, to reach 2.94 million tons and the Authority's busiest April ever.
