Omega Construction continues its work on the multifamily development on the site of the former Abercorn Terrace Apartments between 61st and 63rd Streets in Midtown Savannah. The property owner’s, Chaucer Creek Capital, chose Omega Construction to lead this diverse project. The phased plan for the property included interior and exterior renovations of the historic 1940’s buildings which is nearing completion. The next phase, now underway, includes demolition of non-historic row houses in order to make way for new townhomes, a new leasing center, pool, and site amenities.

Once complete, the Grove at Ardsley will provide a total of 185 new and renovated apartments within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a grocery store all minutes from Historic Downtown Savannah.

“With renovations of the existing units finishing up, we are eager for Savannah to see the next phase of the design”, said Scott Fournier, Lead Project Manager for Omega. “Chaucer Creek Capital has made a wise investment in Savannah’s growth, and we are proud to help bring the complete vision for the property to life.” Fournier said.

Located between Downtown and the Southside, the Grove at Ardsley will be equally desirable to those seeking proximity to schools and hospitals, as well as the cultural and dining options Downtown has to offer. In addition, the Midtown location has a vibrant shopping and dining district of its own, just steps from the Grove.

“The team of design professionals and subcontractors we have assembled to execute this project has worked tirelessly with Chaucer Creek to revamp a once defeated area of Historic Savannah,” said Todd Mayo, Omega’s GA Division Manager.  “When you assemble the right team with the right owner, anything is possible.” Mayo said.
