The Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) hosted its inaugural Lender’s League Forum at the Savannah Golf Club. Regional bank presidents, commercial lenders, and business partners attended the event and heard presentations by Michael Chriszt, Vice President and Regional Engagement Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Dr. Michael Toma, Professor of Economics at Georgia Southern University.

SBAC developed the Lender’s League to encourage partnership between the organization and other lenders within its footprint. In the interest of this cooperation, the Lender’s League will continue to present workshops and host forums that address trends and challenges within our small business community.

“SBAC wants to recognize the importance of our partnerships with regional bankers. These bankers are on the front line with small business clients and this platform ensures that we speak a common language that benefits our clients,” explains Wendy Jeffers, Director of Lending for SBAC. “We will continue to offer more lender classes, more education, and more events like this in the future.”

When asked in a survey about future events, one guest commented, “I really enjoyed this meeting. More of the same is a great way to get this info out to our communities and for us to learn more about banking, lending, and our financial futures.”
