The Coastal Bank Promotes Candace Adkins to Branch Manager

The Coastal Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank headquartered in Savannah, Ga., recently promoted Candace Adkins to branch manager at its Godley Station office.

In her new position, Adkins is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full service branch office, including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, security and safety. She also develops new deposit and loan business, promotes customer relations and advances the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation.

Adkins began her banking career as a peak-time floating teller in 2001 at First Union, later Wachovia, in Savannah, Ga. She quickly moved through the ranks and was named branch manager in 2005. In 2007, Adkins joined The Coastal Bank as retail sales administrator, serving as liaison between executive management and retail before being promoted to assistant vice president of the bank’s retail banking division in 2008.

Originally from Green Cove Springs, Fla., Adkins graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from South University in 2005. Adkins currently lives in Effingham County.
