Press release from the issuing company

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

Southern Film Regional Center has been created and approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to provide a source of capital that can be used in a variety of flexible financing structures to fund diverse projects. A major focus of the SFRC is in the film and entertainment industry, but we are not limited to those industries for this program. Due to the overall awareness and aggressive growth of the EB-5 program, SFRC can offer capital that can cover a multitude of industries. We have experience in development, hospitality, retail, education, infrastructure, and manufacturing.  EB-5 financing can be used as an alternative to mezzanine capital buyouts and bridge loans.

USCIS administers the Immigrant Investor Program, also known as “EB-5,” created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a pilot immigration program first enacted in 1992 and regularly reauthorized since, certain EB-5 visas also are set aside for investors in Regional Centers designated by USCIS based on proposal for promoting economic growth.   The explosive growth of the EB-5 program has caught the attention of real estate and project developers nationwide. All investors must meet the stringent requirements and screening processes mandated by the USCIS. In addition to the USCIS mandatory procedures, all SFRC investors and potential investors go through an additional screening process set forth by our brokerage firm.

SFRC has successfully raised EB-5 capital with the assistance of attorneys and professionals who, not only have expertise in Securities, Corporate, Immigration and, if applicable, Real Estate law, but are also well-versed in the unique requirements the EB-5 program.  Therefore, SFRC works with one of the top rated EB-5 immigration attorneys, EB-5 economists, business planners, securities attorney, and several overseas brokers.  The lead immigration counsel for SFRC has been practicing U.S. immigration law and offering approved solutions since 1983. SFRC professionals and staff have represented corporate and individual clients from all countries worldwide in regards to their U.S. immigration and EB-5 goals.

SFRC can help proprietors/projects to navigate their way through the complex EB-5 process. Due to extensive due diligence and proper planning, SFRC has received USCIS approval for two USCIS EB-5 regional centers, SFRC, SFRC-ATL. These EB-5 regional centers cover the Atlanta MSA (28 counties), and Savannah MSA (3 counties).  The Southern Film Regional Center-Atlanta was just approved for a $50 million animation project that will inject over $76 million into the Atlanta MSA, this will create over 2,000 jobs both directly and indirectly. SFRC has consulted and assisted with countless other EB-5 projects nationally, covering a broad range of industries. SFRC recognizes that each client is different, and takes an individualized approach to each and every project to ensure maximum success and profitability.

The SFRC currently covers Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan counties. The SFRC expects to expand along the coast extending in both direction, up to Charleston, SC. and down to the Georgia/Florida border. All projects will be anchored within targeted employment areas (TEA’s) within these geographical areas.
