Ray Angell, the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing General Volunteer Chairman will  be retiring after the 2015 tournament held April 13-19 over the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, SC.

Angell was born and raised in the City of Pittsburgh, PA. He has a Metallurgical Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh and retired in 1987 after a career in sales and marketing at the Babcock and Wilcox Company in Beaver Falls, PA.  Soon after, he moved to Hilton Head Island and began volunteering his time at the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing as a Marshall on Hole #10. He was named General Chairman in 2006 and is responsible for all 1,200 tournament volunteers.

In 2012, Angell was elected as a member of the Heritage Classic Foundation Board of Trustees.  He will be stepping down from his position on the board after the 2015 tournament as well.

The Heritage Classic Foundation has already begun the search for a new General Volunteer Chairman.  Tournament Director Steve Wilmot plans to have someone named before the 2015 RBC Heritage so that the new incoming chairman can shadow Angell prior to and during tournament week.
