Savannah Airport Among Nation's Favorites

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, January 30th, 2015

Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport was among the nation’s top five favorite airports as ranked by MissTravel.com, a dating destination website.

The website polled 52,347 individuals to find out where their favorite U.S. airports were. Members were asked to rank the airports based on comfort, convenience, customer service and cleanliness. The top five, in no particular order, were Savannah; Portland, Ore.; San Francisco; West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Philadelphia.

“While visiting Savannah travelers are transported in time to a historic southern street, complete with benches, a mock square, and a large clock under gorgeous glass ceilings,” the website reported.

“The airports on this list are innovators due to their building design, customer service, and first-class amenities,” said MissTravel CEO and founder Brandon Wade. “Other airports should follow suit, or they could quickly lose clientele.”
