Hospice Savannah employees today presented a plaque of appreciation to Dean Peterson, Sustainability Developer for IKEA’s Port Wentworth Distribution Center. IKEA donated furnishings to equip the employee/volunteer break room at the not-for-profit hospice’s administrative and homecare offices located at 1674 Chatham Parkway. Other donations include tables and chairs for the new Demere Center for Living at 6000 Business Center Drive, and pillows and cases for use at the inpatient Hospice House at 1352 Eisenhower Drive.

Hospice Savannah Foundation  nominated IKEA for the Outstanding Philanthropic Business in last year's Association of Fundraising Professionals Georgia Chapter’s National Philanthropy  Day awards in recognition of the Distribution Center’s outstanding record of cash, product and volunteer support to Savannah’s nonprofit community.
