EnviroVac Announced as Title Sponsor for Fourth Annual Ranger Appreciation Golf Tournament

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, September 29th, 2015

Ranger Events, an organization started by Rangers and Ranger supporters to appreciate and honor Army Rangers and other warriors by providing fun, relaxed and stress free events, is pleased to announce its Fourth Annual Ranger Appreciation Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at The Club at Savannah Harbor. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit The Wounded Veterans Retreat Program, a nonprofit organization taking a leading role in education, assessments, and treatment of U.S. veterans and their family members.

This year’s “Lead the Way” sponsor is EnviroVac, the area’s premier provider of industrial and chemical cleaning, environmental services, on-site maintenance and outage support programs. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Wounded Veterans Retreat Program.

“We couldn’t be more excited and proud to support such a worthy organization. Our veterans have given so much to all of us, by protecting our freedoms, so it is an honor to be able to give back to them,” said Kevin Jackson, president and CEO of EnviroVac. “I know the monies raised from this tournament will not only help veterans adjust back to civilian life, but thrive.”

The Ranger Appreciation tournament will begin with a shotgun start and follow a scramble format in which each player tees off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker. The following sponsorships are available: “Lead the Way” for $10,000, “Sua Sponte” for $5,000; and “Big Marc,” in memory of Spec. Marc Anderson, for $2,000. Smaller sponsorships are also available.

“Each day, 22 veterans take their own life. That’s 22 too many,” said Nelson Corbin, president and CEO of Wounded Veteran Retreat Program. “Fundraisers like this allow our program to greatly reduce that number.”
