Historic Savannah Foundation, a nonprofit historic preservation organization, recently hired Meghan Lowe as its new director of development.

In that role, she will be the primary point of contact for all HSF fundraising efforts. Lowe will work closely with HSF President and CEO Daniel Carey, the board of trustees, staff and many others to develop and execute a fundraising strategy to attain both annual and long range revenue goals.  This includes individual, corporate, and foundation donors with a passion for the mission of Historic Savannah Foundation.

Prior to coming to HSF, Lowe worked as the director of development at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.  Her responsibilities included coordinating all fundraising efforts to achieve annual goals.  Lowe began her career as the youth and young adult ministry assistant before moving on to be the stewardship and development assistant at the Catholic Diocese of Savannah.

A native of Savannah, Ga., Lowe received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from Duquesne University.  She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University.  In addition, Lowe was also the recipient of the Grant Writing Certification from Kennesaw State University.  

Lowe is an active member in the community volunteering at many nonprofit organizations in the Savannah area.  She is also a member of Rotary International and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  Lowe currently lives on Wilmington Island.
