City to Cut Ribbon on Floyd E. Morris Field

There will be a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for Floyd E. Morris Field (formerly Optimist Field) at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Daffin Park, Victory Drive side.  Members of City Council and City staff will join with neighborhood representatives.  Improvements to the newly renamed Floyd E. Morris Field include: approximately 88,818 square feet of synthetic field turf; installation of concrete curbs, drainage system, field markings and equipment to support sport play of football, soccer and lacrosse.
