Partners in the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run presented a check for more than $24,000 to The Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler. The Lewis Cancer Pavilion is the official charity of the Bridge Run and benefitted from proceeds of the 2016 race.

Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run partners include Enmarket, Alpha Media and their WUBB station BOB 106.9 and the Savannah Sports Council. Alpha Media participated in the fundraising effort by collecting $10 donations from morning show listeners to have the name of someone touched by breast cancer tattooed on the hosts’ bodies with henna ink before the December 3 race. The balance of the donation to the Lewis Cancer Pavilion came from Bridge Run registration fees.

Ben Wilder, director of the Savannah Sports Council, says that the fundraising effort for cancer treatment is a significant draw for the event. "Each year we get lots of feedback from Bridge Run participants about how much they appreciate the support that the Sports Council provides to St. Joseph's/Candler,” he says. “This is a long-time collaboration between the two organizations and we are most grateful for the partnership."
