Ameris Bank Supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire as Wine Women & Shoes Title Sponsor

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, March 10th, 2017

Ameris Bank is proud to announce its title sponsorship of the 2017 Wine, Women & Shoes, an annual charity benefit hosted by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire. In its fourth year, Ameris Bank has served as the title sponsor since the inception of this event. Wine, Women & Shoes raises funds and awareness for families served by the Ronald McDonald House. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the families of critically ill and hospitalized children in Savannah, allowing them to remain nearby when faced with a child’s medical crisis.

In 2016, RMHC provided 4210 night stays and served over 295 families. Their family rooms located within The Children’s Hospital at Memorial and on the St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital campus served over 3000 families, and the Care Mobile Program served 2700 children. Wine, Women & Shoes has raised over $310,000 to support the RMHC of the Coastal Empire’s three core programs: The Ronald McDonald House, The Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

“The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire continues to make a significant impact within our community through their work with families from throughout our region,” said Greater Savannah Market President Jenny Gentry. “We are proud to be affiliated with an event that supports such a worthy and integral cause.”

Wine, Women & Shoes will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel located at 2 West Bay Street. The event will feature an array of wines, shoes and fashion, a “Best in Shoe” contest, fashion show featuring several local boutiques, and incredible auction items. Tickets are $75 for general admission and $150 for VIP admission. One hundred percent of the ticket sales will benefit families served by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
