Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, March 10th, 2017

Several Savannah business leaders -- Ruel Joyner, CEO of 24e Design Co., Ted Dennard, president and head beekeeper for Savannah Bee Company, and Stephanie Lindley, CEO of Byrd Cookie Company -- will address Georgia Tech-Savannah’s “Learners and Leaders” series on Thursday, March 30, at 7:30 a.m. Together they will share how they successfully navigated the journey from local to beyond.

“All business owners should be implementing ways to reach milestones and grow their business. Taking your business to the next level requires planning, research and patience,” said Diane Lee, director of Georgia Tech-Savannah. “This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from local business owners who have proven to be successful.”

Participants will learn how to assess their company and industry; determine how their business model translates; investigate target markets; diversify product and service offerings; use technology to stay effective; and identify available resources.

The talk, which will include remarks followed by an interactive discussion, will take place on the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus at 210 Technology Circle. Breakfast and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m.; the program will run 8-9:30 a.m. Cost, including breakfast, is $15.

Georgia Tech-Savannah’s Learners and Leaders series is an effort launched in 2014 to help companies in the coastal region stay current. To date, members of the coastal community have heard speakers on topics of relevance to the business community, including mobile apps, coaching and mentoring, leadership and logistics.
