TravelChannel.com‘s list of 12 Top College Towns includes Savannah among such notable cities as Boston, Chapel Hill, Boulder and Athens. The list was hand-selected by the website’s editorial staff, who said of the picks: “College towns can get a bad rep, but our staff’s picks are rich in culture, entertainment and — most importantly — have food worth leaving campus for.”

Savannah’s slide touts the city as an “eclectic town with a never-ending supply of culture.” It also mentions an abundance of historic architecture and rich history alongside its equally-rich culinary offerings and growing craft beer scene, as well as proximity to beach life at Tybee Island. Other cities included on the list are Charlottesville, Virginia; Washington, D.C.; Boston, Massachusetts; Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Morgantown, West Virginia; Boulder, Colorado; Athens, Georgia; Berkeley, California; Madison, Wisconsin; and Tempe, Arizona.
