Historic Savannah Foundation Hires Katherine Henderson Poss as Special Events Coordinator

Historic Savannah Foundation, a nonprofit historic preservation organization, recently hired Katherine Henderson Poss as its new special events coordinator.

Prior to coming to Savannah in 2008, Poss worked in Baltimore, Md., in public relations and marketing. She became the executive director of Savannah Tour of Homes & Gardens and successfully led that effort for nearly four years. In 2014, she received HSF’s Nicola Parker Coe Volunteer of the Year Award. In 2015, she chaired HSF’s Diamond Anniversary Gala in Forsyth Park.

Originally from Spartanburg, S.C., Poss received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Furman University. Poss is an active member in the community volunteering at many nonprofit organizations. She most recently served on the Davenport House Committee, where she aided in fundraising, planning the annual oyster roast, public relations and wallpaper selection. Poss resides in the Landmark Historic District.
