Old Savannah Insurance Agency, an eastern Georgia firm that provides families and business owners in the Savannah area with insurance and financial planning assistance, is embarking on a cooperative charity effort with the Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation & Relocation organization to save local animals from high kill shelters.

GRRR is a small nonprofit group operating in Savannah, Georgia that rescues small dogs from irresponsible owners, dangerous environments, and shelters that implement euthanasia. Since 1911, GRRR has helped a large number of animals find loving, fur-ever homes. The organization also provides veterinary care along with spaying and neutering services to rescued animals.

“The mistreatment of animals has become a large problem, and it’s GRRReat knowing that there are people out there making a difference!” says James Grusheski, the principal agent and acting director of Old Savannah Insurance Agency.

In an effort to pull together regional support for the ongoing rescue efforts of the GRRR organization, Grusheski and the Old Savannah team are initializing an outreach program over social media and email channels to share information on the charity drive. Further publicity for the event will include a feature article on animal rescue efforts scheduled for publication in the newest edition of “Our Hometown,” a monthly local interest webzine hosted by Old Savannah Insurance: http://www.oldsavannahinsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.

Since 2014, nearly two dozen charitable organizations and nonprofit groups operating in and around Savannah have enjoyed publicity support from the Old Savanna Insurance Agency. As regional representatives of the “Agents of Change” network, Grusheski and his professional team are committed to assisting new charities in the area on a bimonthly basis.
