Operation Clean Sweep Moves to Wilshire Neighborhood

The City of Savannah is joining forces with local residents, youth, and other organizations for a fall neighborhood cleanup, safety campaign, and cookout in the Wilshire Neighborhood on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. noon.

The event will kick off at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Elks Club, 183 Wilshire Blvd. Activities will include litter and trash pickup, grass cutting, and cleaning of FEMA lots, as well outreach and education from Savannah Fire and Emergency Services and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police. The target areas is: Wilshire Blvd., from Abercorn to Vineyard Drive.

Participating entities include City of Savannah Sanitation, Community Planning and Development, Property Maintenance department, SFES, SCMPD, Operation Clean Sweep and neighborhood residents and volunteers.
