Caughey Hearn Named to Local Board of Directors

Caughey L. Hearn, owner of the Caughey Hearn Agency in Claxton, was recently appointed to Ogeechee Technical College’s Local Board of Directors. Hearn will serve as a representative of Evans County.

Hearn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and was the County Administrator for Evans County for more than 10 years. Active in a number of organizations, he currently serves as president of the Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce, as Vice Chair for the Greater Savannah Regional Alliance, on the Claxton-Evans County Airport Authority, and on the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy Community Action Team.

Ogeechee Technical College’s Local Board of Directors functions in an advisory capacity, as well as serving as ambassadors for the College. Representatives from Bulloch, Evans, and Screven Counties, the three counties in the College’s service delivery area, serve on the Board. “We are very happy to welcome Caughey and know he will be valuable addition,” said Lori Durden, Ogeechee Tech President. “Caughey is a respected citizen of Evans County and leaders like him help facilitate the connection between the College and the community.”
