Goodwill Southeast Georgia is teaming up with volunteers from BB&T to promote Goodwill Week and Donor Appreciation. Associates from BB&T Insurance Services in Savannah will be cooking hotdogs for those who bring donations to the Pooler Goodwill location on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 11 AM to 2 PM.

“We wanted to work with Goodwill Southeast Georgia because of the great work they do in the 33 Georgia and South Carolina counties they serve,” said Vickie Callaway, Vice President of
BB&T Insurance Services, Inc. Savannah “We’re proud to team up with them and help in any way we can.”

The BB&T volunteers are taking part in the company’s ninth annual Lighthouse Project. The teams have each selected a project to assist a nonprofit agency to complete between April and June to make a positive impact on the lives of people in need.

Thanks to the generous support of donors, Goodwill Southeast Georgia was able to provide services to over 6,900 individuals last year. BB&T hopes their efforts on Saturday encourage others in the community to volunteer their time, donate and support local organizations such as Goodwill Southeast Georgia.

“This is a great chance for us to collaborate with a business in the community and let our donors know how much we appreciate them” stated Michael Winckler, CEO of Goodwill Southeast Georgia. “The generous, continued support of the community allows us to change individuals lives through the power of work.”
