The Savannah Gourmet Seafood & Spirits Festival benefitting the Savannah Harbor Foundation, is one of Savannah’s most celebrated summer events. Organizers are excited to announce first details about the fifth annual celebration occurring on August 9 – 12.
 
This fifth annual Gourmet Seafood & Spirits Festival will welcome celebrity chefs, renowned restaurants, competitive mixologists, flagship spirits and much more over the 4-day event. Last year’s festival welcomed over 1000 guests to Hutchinson Island and this year’s event is expected to draw even more attendees.
 
Supported by a plethora of sponsors like US Foods, Fiji Water, Savannah Morning News, iHeartMedia, Southern Eagle Distributing, United Distributing, Adfish, and more, organizers are delighted to expand the impact and footprint of the festival.

Thursday, August 9th– “Coastal Chef’s Table”, 5:30 – 9:00 pm
The Westin Savanah Harbor – Newly Renovated Grand Ballroom

The official Seafood & Spirits kick-off starts on Thursday, August 9th with a five-course dinner pairing event featuring chef and cocktail demonstrations. This unique premier event with each chef demonstrating their course preparation will feature a seated five course culinary journey with paired wines & spirits. Our guest chefs will display their finest cuisine through this year’s theme: “Georgia Grown”. Certified experts will create exquisite wine and spirits pairings to accompany each course. Westin’s Executive Chef Anthony Burdo is excited to welcome Chef Nick Lahey of Atlanta’s hot Saltyard restaurant and Geogia Grown’s Executive Chef Hollie Chute as guests of honor this year with Savannah Tech’s Jean Vendeville returning once again to dazzle the dessert course. The sights, sounds and aromas of the kitchen fill the room as guests enjoy and participate in stunning culinary demonstrations.
 
Friday, August 10th – Lowcountry Picnic & Concert, 6:30 – 9:00
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa – River Lawn & Esplanade

We provide the atmosphere; you provide the appetite. Join us for this river-side evening of live entertainment by Zac Brown tribute band 20 Ride and great food experiences as we toast the end of summer. Presented on the Westin Savannah Harbor boardwalk and luxurious lawns, guest should expect to relax along the Savannah River and the setting sun while enjoying seafood low country style, and delicious accompaniments. Resist the temptation to slow-dance the night away as our live southern music provides an engaging back drop to this ultimate sea-foodie experience.

Beverage samples will be available to all and a host of beer and cocktails will be available for purchase.

Saturday, August 11th – “AquaCurean Challenge”, 2 – 5 pm
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa – Resort Takeover

 Our annual classic showcase of restaurants and mixologists, tantalizes the patron from start to finish. This years’ experience will bring together many of the best Savannah and regional restaurants along with the cream of the crop mixologists and bartenders. The all-inclusive ticket will allow patrons to not only taste some of the finest food and beverage tastings, but also allow them to vote for their favorites. During the AquaCurean Challenge, restaurants will compete with each other by showcasing their favorite seafood recipe, while our bartenders will compete for your vote with their favorite cocktail presentation. The special VIP ticket adds an on-dock experience right at the Westin Marina to make this event unforgettable!

Sunday, August 12th – “Fresh Catch & Cocktails Jazz Brunch” - 12:30 – 3:30 pm

Join us for Cocktails and Shrimp Tails, A Bloody Mary bar, Champagne, seafood, breakfast buffet & jazz music. Guests can join our chefs for an unforgettable brunch with a few surprises by our spirit partners.  Admission includes a very special AquaCurean gift, delicious food and beautiful music performed by Jeremy Davis and the Fabulous Equinox Trio.
