Richmond Hill Chamber Hosts August Lunch & Learn

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, August 1st, 2018

Everyone has heard about the opioid epidemic, but do you know how it is affecting Bryan County and the ways in which it can take a toll on your business? Then attend the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce’s Lunch and Learn on at 12 noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Chamber office, located at 2591 Hwy 17, Suite 100 in the Crossroads Center – just around the corner from Uptown Deli.

Mary Fuller, Project Coordinator for the Bryan County Opioid Prevention Project, will present on the dangers of opioids and other prescription drugs, review their impacts on Bryan County, highlight the Project’s community initiatives and programs, and explain specifically how businesses are impacted by prescription misuse. She will facilitate a discussion about what businesses are seeing locally and identify resources available for employers to help minimize the impact on their businesses and employees.

In her career, Fuller has provided both individual and group counseling, managed diverse social service programs and contracts, and facilitated trainings and orientations.  She has worked in Human Resources and workforce development along with social work and, most recently, was the Executive Director of Lutheran Services of Georgia in Savannah.

The Lunch & Learn is complimentary to RHBC Chamber members and invited guests and $15 for non-members. Please plan on bringing your own lunch; drinks are provided by the Chamber. Seating is limited, and RSVP’s are required by Friday, June 15 by calling 912-756-3444 or e-mailing [email protected].
