Chatham County Sheriff Office Still Accepting Teams for Charity Sporting Clay Event

Team spots are still available for Shooting with the Sheriff, a charity sporting clay event hosted by Chatham County Sheriff John T. Wilcher on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Forest City Hun Club, located at 9203 Ferguson Avenue in Savannah.
 
The event raises money for Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes, a residential care program founded by Georgia sheriff’s to help children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned.
 
“Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes is one of the many causes that the Sheriff’s Office supports, but it is a cause that I feel very passionate about,” said Wilcher. “Participation in this event means that you are directly contributing to providing a safe, nurturing environment for these children.”
 
Participants may register in teams of four for a donation of $800. The event is limited to 26 teams Registration begins at 1 p.m. Each participant is invited to attend the after party at 6 p.m. All food and beverages are free.
