In addition to winning All-Georgia, the staff won five All-Georgia individual awards, as well as 13
Superior individual awards. The other honors include General Excellence and individual awards for portrait photography, sports photography, theme development, illustration, and special interest story.

The Calvary Day School yearbook staff is composed of 18 high school students, from 16-18 years old.

“I am so honored and overjoyed that our 2017-2018 yearbook, “Shift”, received the All-Georgia Award. This is a proud accomplishment for all of the Beacon Staff. As Editor-in-Chief of “Shift”, this award means a lot to me personally,” 2018 Editor-in-Chief, Haley Burke said. “I got to see everyone’s hard work, motivation for perfection, skills, and diligent collaboration all come together to produce a yearbook to make us and our school proud.”
