Critz Tybee Run Fest Announces New T-shirt and Medal Designs

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, January 15th, 2019

After months of planning and designing, the Critz Tybee Run Fest is excited to announce its new t-shirt design and medal designs for race participants and winners. Participants will receive a custom-designed medal for every distance they run, and those that complete all five races will receive a bonus marathon medal.

For the first time in the race’s history, Critz Tybee Run Fest has created a unique t-shirt design for runners that participate in all five races, totaling a full marathon, so those participants have something to wear to remember their specific 2019 race accomplishments. The long-sleeve t-shirts come in a variety of colors and feature a creative Critz Tybee Run Fest design with the famed lighthouse on the front of the shirt and the list of sponsors that helped make the event a success on the back. T-shirts will be handed out at the Critz Tybee Run Fest Expo on Thursday, January 31st from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Ultramax Sports will also be onsite printing custom Critz Tybee Run Fest shirts where runners will be able to select their design and shirt to have printed right there on the spot.

The Critz Tybee Run Fest Expo will be held at Critz BMW located at 7009 Abercorn St, Savannah, Ga. This expo is open to the public and is the home of Packet Pick-up for all race participants. This year’s race will be held February 1st and 2nd and offers great races, fun, and fitness not only for individuals, but for the whole family.

The Critz Tybee Run Fest gives back to the community by donating all net profits raised to local non-profit organizations that foster education and healthy lifestyles for children and teens. These community grants are made possible from race entries and sponsorships from a large variety of race partners of the Critz Tybee Run Fest.

The February 2019 race weekend will begin with the Byrd’s Famous Cookies 1/7 Mile Kiddie Run held at 6 p.m. right before the North Beach Bar and Grill 5K on Friday, February 1st. The Collins Quarter 10K, the Chu’s Half Marathon, the Lighthouse Pizza 2.8 Mile Beach Run, and the Bernie’s Oyster House 1 Mile race will all take place on Saturday, February 2nd. The race’s unique two-day format, combining five races to equal a full marathon, attracts a large number of supporters and race contestants each year.
