Tuesday, January 15th, 2019

City of Savannah District 1 Alderman Van Johnson has scheduled two Town Hall meetings for residents.

The first meeting will be hosted on Facebook, Johnson’s 2nd "Virtual" Town Hall Meeting. The meeting will go live at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22.

Citizens can also participate in Alderman Johnson’s virtual Town Hall via conference call.

“Our first virtual Town Hall was so successful because it allowed our residents the opportunity to participate at a time and place more convenient for those who work, have transportation challenges or other obligations," said Alderman Johnson. “We had to do it again.”

Johnson will hold a second Town Hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4. The Town Hall meeting will be held at the Godley Station School.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Highlands Boulevard Extension, development of Effingham Connector and fire services in the Highlands. Alderman Johnson will also introduce new Police Chief Roy Minter to District 1 residents.
