Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah and Savannah Master Calendar’s partner businesses came together to support Savannah/Chatham Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) with a fundraising event featuring red velvet cake and classic cars! February’s SMC Gives charity networking event—the 2019 Red Velvet Bake Off—took place on Tuesday, February 26 from 5:30–7:00 pm at Savannah Classic Cars Dealer and Museum at 249 East Lathrop Avenue in Savannah. The event raised $1,779 for Savannah/Chatham CASA.

Guests sampled delicious red velvet treats from EmployAbility, Milan Day Spa, Saint Leo University, and Skeeter’s Southern BBQ all while enjoying the classic cars on display at one of Savannah’s coolest museums! EmployAbility took home trophies for “Best Table Decor” and “Most Creative Treat”, while the annual event’s big trophy for “Best Red Velvet Recipe” was awarded to Saint Leo University. The event also featured delicious savory snacks by the Ordinary Pub, live jazz by Bill Karp, photography by Shot by Somi Studios, amazing door prizes, and the best networking in Savannah.

“Old Town Trolley is proud to team up with other local businesses to support CASA’s important advocacy efforts,” said Garry Patrick, General Manager of Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah.

“CASA is grateful to Old Town Trolley and the Savannah Master Calendar partners for hosting this fun event to raise awareness and funds for our mission,” said Kate Blair, Executive Director of Savannah/Chatham CASA.
