Cora Bett Thomas Realty recently announced the hiring of sales associate, Mary Clayton Bernard. In this role, she will guide buyers or sellers through the negotiations, contractual aspects, and lengthy real estate processes.

Bernard has a background in retail and sales, giving her ample experience in communication and people skills. After receiving her bachelor’s degree at St. Louis University, she was a Territory Sales Manager for Nestle’ Foods in Lexington, KY and Indianapolis, IN. She then went on to  work in retail sales at Ann Taylor Inc. Most recently Bernard has been a stay-at-home-mom while volunteering at her children's schools, in the community, and at her church. Bernard received her real estate license in November, she is calling this her “second act”!

Bernard has lived in six cities, bought and sold seven homes, and finally decided to settle down and build her dream house on Spring Island. She grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio, but always loved southern architecture and interior design styles of the south. She is a part of the Neighborhood Wellness Center Committee, Trips and Tours Committee, Parish Wedding Ministry, and the Light for Beaufort Service Committee.
