April’s SMC Gives series event—Badges & Brews—was a networking social with beer, BBQ, and live music. The event took place on Tuesday, April 23 from 5:30–7:00 PM at Southbound Brewing Company at 107 E. Lathrop Ave, Savannah, GA 31415. The event was also a fundraiser for the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire, and attendees raised over $1,000 to support the local organization’s mission. Guests enjoyed Southbound’s delicious craft beer, appetizers by Skeeter’s Southern BBQ, desserts by Wicked Cakes, photography by Shot by Somi Studios, and live music by guitarist Johnny Banks.

“Philanthropy is relational: the more you know, the more likely you are to give. Savannah Master Calendar brings businesses and nonprofits together where they're able to learn more about each other. It was through SMC that we discovered the work of the 200 Club, and we're thankful to play a small part in the incredible work they do for the families of the men and women who've done so much for all of our families,” said Jeff Walker of the Giving Network.

“Thank you to the Savannah Master Calendar corporate partners and Southbound Brewing Company for their generous support of the 200 Club,” said Mark Dana, President, 200 Club of the Coastal Empire.
